2" Room Darkening Window Shadings - These are the same as our 2" Light Filtering Window Shadings except in a room-darkening fabric. These are perfect for bedrooms and other rooms where more privacy and light control are needed. These window shades can still be rotated open to get a view of the outdoors, but provide more light control than our Light Filtering Window Shadings. These window shadings cost a little more than traditional window blinds and window shades such as faux wood blinds and pleated shades but offer a more sophisticated look. These shades are designed with a fabric louver between a front and back sheer mesh material. When rotated open it provides a view of the outdoors. When the window shadings are rotated closed, they provide privacy and light control. These window coverings have a beautiful, soft look to them which are perfect for formal settings, while also looking great as a casual window treatment as well. These window shadings are comparable to Hunter Douglas Silhouettes, Comfortex Shangri-La, and Verosol Vienna Window Shadings. Window Shadings offer the functionality of a blind with the soft look of draperies. The louvers can be adjusted to different angles to adjust the amount of light you would like. When fully raised, they disappear inside a coordinated headrail. A continuous loop cord is used to lift and lower the shade. Since this is a continuous loop, the cord always remains the same length. This means the cord will not get longer as you raise the window shade. In addition, the shade can be stopped in any height position that you would like.

The soft and delicate feel of Sheer Horizontal Window Shadings belies the durability of the material. Sheer Horizontal is created from sturdy, knitted polyester fabric and may be feather dusted or vacuumed at low suction setting. Spots or stains can be rubbed clean with a damp sponge and mild soap. To avoid discoloration of the material, we recommend against the use of chemical cleaners. If necessary the shading can be professionally ultrasonically cleaned.
All knitted fabrics experience weave variations due to heat, humidity and other room conditions. These variations can result in slight bowing, puckering and dimpling of the Sheer Horizontal material. The possible variations are minor and have been shown through case study not to detract from the beauty of this product.
