2" Light Filtering Window Shadings - these are the perfect combination of window blinds and window shades. These window shades offer the look of 2-inch window blinds but with the privacy of a window shade. The 2" cloth louvers are adhered to sheer fabric mesh on the front and back, so when rotated open you have an opaque view to the outside. Then you can close the louvers completely for privacy. In the open position, you have a semi-private view while you can still see outside. These window shadings will filter out the direct sunlight while still filling the room with a glowing subtle light. These 2 inch light filtering window coverings are beautiful and soft to the touch, so they are suitable for both casual and formal settings. These window shadings are comparable to the Silhouette shades by Hunter Douglas, Comfortex Shangri-La, and Verosol Vienna Window Shadings. Window Shadings offer the functionality of a blind with the soft look of draperies. You can adjust the louvers to different angles to adjust the amount of light and view or you can lift them to the top of the window where they virtually disappear into a clean custom headrail.
These shadings are controlled with a continuous loop cord that lifts and lowers the shade. Because of the continuous loop mechanism, the cord always remains the same length, unlike other types of window blinds that have a lift cord that gets longer puddling on the floor when the blind is raised. The continuous loop mechanism also lets you stop at any height position you desire.

The soft and delicate feel of Sheer Horizontal Window Shadings belies the durability of the material. Sheer Horizontal is created from sturdy, knitted polyester fabric and may be feather dusted or vacuumed at low suction setting. Spots or stains can be rubbed clean with a damp sponge and mild soap. To avoid discoloration of the material, we recommend against the use of chemical cleaners. If necessary the shading can be professionally ultrasonically cleaned.
All knitted fabrics experience weave variations due to heat, humidity and other room conditions. These variations can result in slight bowing, puckering and dimpling of the Sheer Horizontal material. The possible variations are minor and have been shown through case study not to detract from the beauty of this product.
